DURANGO, Colo. – A Durango woman with a history of identity theft that dates back to 2013 has been arrested again on suspicion of creating fake credit accounts to pay for minor shopping sprees, according to the Durango Herald.
A La Plata County judge on Tuesday declined to reduce her $75,000 bail as she considered Sandra Morris, 31, to be a danger to the community for committing the same crimes she was given probation for in 2015, the Durango Herald reported.
In the past, Morris has used other people’s identity to apply for and create accounts at Walmart, Lowe’s, Kohl’s, Amazon.com, among others, the newspaper reported.
The newspaper also reports Morris used the fake accounts she created to buy jewelry, cooking pots, makeup, children’s clothes and items from Victoria’s Secret.
Morris is being held at the La Plata County Jail.
