A mother, and her boyfriend, have been arrested on allegations of abuse involving her two children, ages five and six, police said.
Samantha Khaler, 24, the children’s biological mother, was arrested on suspicion of child abuse.
Pablo Melgares, 21, was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust.
"The children are safe and have been with their biological father since this incident was first reported," Pueblo police said in a statement.
