Messages say teen kidnapped, being held hostage

Six days after a teenager disappeared, her family is now getting messages saying she was kidnapped and is being held hostage, Pueblo police said.

Gema Arias, 15, was reported as a runaway on May 13 when she didn't come home from school, police said.

However, investigators said six days later, on Thursday, Gema's relatives began receiving messages via social media, apparently from Gema, saying that she had been kidnapped and was being held hostage.

While Gema lives in Pueblo with her grandmother, police said she has relatives in the Denver metro area.

Gema is described as 5 foot 4 inches tall and 100 pounds.
