Body Of Richard Limon, 69, Found By Bicyclists On Aug. 17

Authorities have identified the body of a 69-year-old Denver man who they say appears to have been stabbed and dumped on the side of Mount Zion.

Richard Limon's body was found Aug. 17 on a rocky slope below Lariat Loop Road by two bicyclists who had stopped to rest by a guardrail, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said in a Tuesday news release.

"Limon appears to be the victim of a stabbing and his death is being investigated as a homicide," sheriff's officials said.

Investigators asked anyone with specific knowledge about Limon, or anyone who may have been in the area of Lookout Mountain on Aug. 16 or 17, or who has information related to the investigation, to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office tipline at 303-271-5612.
