See How Missy Franklin Did In 200 Backstroke Prelims

Colorado's Missy Franklin took the top time in the 200-meter backstroke preliminaries on Thursday at the London Olympics.

Franklin won her heat with a 2:07:54. The only other person to finish in the 2:07's was Franklin's teammate, Elizabeth Beisel, with a 2:07:82.

The 200-meter backstroke semifinals are scheduled for Thursday night. Franklin and Beisel will swim in different heats. The finals are Friday.

Franklin, 17, has won three medals. She won a gold medal in the 100-meter backstroke, a gold in the 4x200-meter freestyle relay and a bronze medal in the 400-meter freestyle relay.

Franklin is competing in seven events at the London games.
