Searchers Find Missing Woman In Jefferson County

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office found a missing female in the Deer Creek Canyon area Monday evening.
The search started earlier today in the 8900 block of South Deer Creek Canyon Road for the 73-year-old woman (pictured, left) who has Alzheimer's disease.
Donna Mae Aamodt walked away from her home sometime during Sunday night, officers said.
The area where she disappeared is heavily wooded and overgrown.
The sheriff's office uliltized a K9 unit and bloodhound before she was found.
Searchers from the Alpine Search & Rescue team found Aamodt south of Highway 285 just below Tiny Town
She was not injured and is in good health, they reported.
