The search for a tourist who went missing Thursday night in Breckenridge has been suspended.
Police have issued photos of three men that they want to talk to in the case and who had contact with Alphonse "Michael" Barbiere hours before he disappeared.
The three are not considered suspects.
Friends said Barbiere was at Cecilia's Bar on Marin Street and started walking home at about 1:18 a.m., said police spokeswoman Kim Green.
His friends reported Barbiere was drunk and was last seen walking north on Main Street.
The weather was very poor Thursday night, with snow, high winds and below freezing temperatures.
Barbiere's friends contacted police at 5:30 a.m. Friday, when they still had not heard from him.
Police searched downtown all Friday and Barbiere's friends distributed fliers with his picture in bars and restaurants around town, Green said.
According to a statement from his family, Barbiere works as a trader for Wall Street and was on vacation with friends in Breckenridge.
"We would like to express our incredible appreciation for everyone who is aiding in his search and we pray that he is brought home safe," the statement read.
Police have asked for help from the Summit County Sheriff's Department and the Summit County Search and Rescue Group.
A ground search was under way in downtown Breckenridge and along the Blue River Sunday, after dozens of volunteers were called in from all over the state.
Family members also helped in the search.
"The toughest part is you want to find them, but you don't want to find them. You want to hold that hope that he's someplace else," said Bob Barbiere, the missing man's brother.
Family members said they believe foul play is a possibility, and police said they can't rule it out.
"We think he's still out there. The best search and rescue teams couldn't come up with him. We think he's still around someplace," said Barbiere.
Search teams have suspended the search efforts, but later in the week they may search areas around the town.
Mike Barbiere has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black and gray ski jacket, jeans and tan boots.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Breckenridge Police Department at 970-453-3177.
