RTD Bus Crash Injures 6

Speer Blvd. Reopened After Cleanup

A three-vehicle accident involving an RTD bus closed Speer Boulevard in both directions downtown.

Denver police said the crash occurred at 6:55 p.m. on Speer near Wewatta Place. The RTD bus struck one car and another vehicle then hit the two vehicles, Denver Police Lt. Matt Murray said.

Police said Speer reopened in both directions after nearly a 2-hour closure.

Murray said six people were injured in the crash. None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening, he added.

It is unknown how many of those injured were on the bus.
