Trader Joe's has signed a letter of intent to open its first Denver store.
The store will be located on the southeast corner of Colorado Boulevard and East Eighth Avenue, the Denver Business Journal
reported, citing three unnamed commercial real estate brokers who specialize in retail.
A Trader Joe's spokeswoman said she could not confirm whether or not the popular Monrovia, Calif.-based chain had plans for a Denver store.
"Unfortunately, we don't have a comment at all," Alison Mochizuki told 7NEWS on Friday afternoon.
It would be the grocery chains second Colorado store, in addition to a previously announced Boulder location, scheduled to open in 2013.
The land for the Colorado Boulevard location is owned by Denver hotel developer Charlie Biederman, who had planned to use the site for a hotel development in 2007, the Business Journal reported.
