With the presidential election a little more than two weeks away, President Barack Obama will be in Colorado on Wednesday.
Obama will hold a rally at Denver's City Park. The stop in Denver will be a part of a two-day, around the clock campaign blitz across six battleground states.
President Obama will start his two-day campaign on Wednesday with stops in Iowa, Denver and Las Vegas. The following day Obama will travel overnight and hold rallies in Tampa, Fla., Richmond, Va., Chicago and Cleveland.
During the visit in Chicago, Obama will become the first sitting President to vote early in person.
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and running mate Paul Ryan are scheduled to visit Colorado next week.
Ryan is scheduled to be at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction on Monday to watch Romney and Obama in their last presidential debate.
On Tuesday night, Romney will join Ryan for a rally at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre, a day after early voting at polling places begins. Voting by mail is already under way.
Romney, Obama, their running mates and spouses have been busy visiting battleground states in the weeks leading up to Election Day. Though Obama won Colorado in 2008, Republicans have said they consider the state to be in play this time around.
The Electoral College map remains in Obama's favor. He can lose several states he won in 2008 and still win re-election.
Romney's path is much narrower. He must take away at least a half-dozen states from Obama, including large ones like Florida.
Two scheduled events could wrinkle the race. Obama and Romney meet Monday for their final debate, focused on foreign policy. And four days before Election Day comes the October unemployment report.
People who want to get a ticket to the Romney/ Ryan event at Red Rocks, should go to RomneyColorado.com. You can get a ticket and print it to bring to the event.
