DENVER -- The latest health tracking poll from the Kaiser Family Foundation found 48 percent of Americans view Obamacare favorably. A majority of those surveyed were Independents. The Trump administration will tell you there is no way a majority of the country is happy with the law.

Vice President Mike Pence recently renewed a White House promise to scrap Obamacare.

"Let me assure you, America's Obamacare nightmare is about to end," said Vice President Pence in front of a cheering crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference. "You know, despite the best efforts of liberal activists in town halls around the country, the American people know better."

All along, the Trump administration has said Obamacare is failing with individual premiums skyrocketing. It's a waiting game now as Republicans work on something new.

There's continued resistance in Denver. More than 100 people showed up for a rally in Denver's Civic Center Park Saturday.

John Buckley rallied in honor of his late friend who, before Obamacare, killed herself because she didn't qualify for health insurance. Buckley doesn't want to see an all out replacement.

"There has got to be a way to fix the process rather than just scrap it," he said.

The Trump White House is unwavering on a new plan promising it won't leave anyone without insurance, hammering home how bad the Affordable Care Act is.

"This failed law is crippling the American economy and crushing the American people," said Pence. "Talk about your fake news folks. Look at all of the promises liberals made about Obamacare."
