DENVER – Colorado residents will continue to march against racism a week after a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va., left one woman dead and dozens more injured.
The Boulder chapter of Showing Up for Racial Justice is set to hold a rally outside Google’s headquarters Saturday to show solidarity for the people of Virginia college town, according to the Boulder Daily Camera.
“We’re calling on white people of Boulder to commit to actions in order to create a cultural shift that calls out and names racial bias,” the organization stated in a press release.
The focus of the rally will be to raise awareness “on ways that white people can challenge the covert racism in our communities that, when left unchecked, creates a space where more radicals led by white supremacist groups like the KKK and Nazis grow.”

The rally was scheduled to start Saturday, Aug. 19 at 1 p.m. at 2590 Pearl Street.
Peace Rally to resist Trump’s agenda to be held in Denver
Indivisible Denver, a group that wants to band Colorado citizens together “to resist the Trump agenda and promote civic engagement,” is holding a Peace Rally at the steps of the Colorado State Capitol on Sunday.
The organization said the focus of this rally will be to show that Coloradans demand peace.
“We refuse to allow our military personnel to be used as fodder for a dangerously deranged president's dream of war. We refuse to allow the use of nuclear weapons. We refuse to allow North Korean military and citizens to be killed. We refuse to allow our own people to be beaten and killed while police stand by and watch. We refuse to allow more terrorist attacks like the one in Charlottesville,” organizers said.
The rally will be taking place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
