DENVER - Denver has advanced to the next round in its bid to host the 2016 Republican National Convention.
The Mile High City will be receiving a visit in June by the full 13-member RNC Site Selection Committee.
Word came following a conference call by the site selection committee to narrow the list which also included Cleveland, Dallas, and Kansas City. The committee will visit the remaining cities between June 2 and June 13.
"Today the committee determined that Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, and Kansas City will receive official visits from the full RNC site selection delegation. All cities excelled in nearly every aspect of their bids and presentation this year, but these four cities stood out from the field from the start of this process and deserve a deeper look by the full committee," said Site Selection Committee, Chairwoman Enid Mickelsen.
