Colorado health officials meeting to discuss implementing President Obama's health care reform plan

State health activists are meeting to discuss what Colorado needs to do now that the election is over and President Obama's health care reform plan is a certainty.

Colorado unsuccessfully challenged the federal health care overhaul in court, but state officials also set up an insurance exchange and took other steps to comply with the law.

Democratic state lawmakers and advocates for the new law plan to talk Wednesday about where Colorado stands on implementing the law.

The day-long health meeting in Denver is sponsored by the Colorado Consumer Health Initiative.
