The politics of the environment in Colorado

DENVER - The environment plays a big role in Colorado politics.

From issues like oil and gas regulations to air pollution, Colorado lawmakers tackle environmental issues every session.

Colorado voters also pay a lot of attention to the stances political candidates take on environmental issues when they are deciding who they are voting for at election time.

Pete Maysmith from Conservation Colorado joined Marshall Zelinger & Anne Trujillo on this week's Politics Unplugged to take a look at what environmental issues are hot in politics right now and what they mean to voters.

Politics Unplugged airs Sundays at 4 p.m. on Denver7.
