The high stakes of naming a new court justice

Within hours of the death of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, the fight started over not only who should replace him, but who should be the person naming his replacement.

President Obama says he will name a replacement, but that could lead to a long battle with Congress.

On the other hand, Republicans believe the next president should name the new justice, but that could lead to a long period of time without a full court.

On Politics Unplugged, democratic strategist Steve Welchert and KNUS conservative radio host Krista Kafer talked about the politics involved in choosing a successor.
