Just a few days before the election, there is still time for voters to make a difference

DENVER -- In Colorado, it is possible to register to vote on Election Day.

“We’re telling people you still the opportunity to register online either at your county clerk’s site or GoVoteColorado.com, but if you do that it will speed your in-person process,” said Alton Dillard of Denver’s Election Division when he sat down with Anne Trujillo for this week’s Politics Unplugged.

For those who don’t want to go to the polls on Election Day and who still haven’t turned in their ballots, Dillard has a warning.

“It’s too late to mail your ballot back, so please, regardless of what county you live in, you can also go to MyColoradoVote.org and see your county-specific information as far as where your drop boxes and voter service and polling centers are,” Dillard said.

Ballots have to be turned in by 7 p.m. on election night to be counted in this year’s election. If you mail it and it is not delivered by that time it will not count.
