DENVER -- Republican hopeful George Athanasopoulos believes he would be a better voice for the voters of Colorado's 7th Congressional District than incumbent Rep. Ed Perlmutter.
Athanasopoulos appeared on this week's Politics Unplugged with Anne Trujillo.
He said his conservative views are more in line with the political opinions of the voters in that district.
"I stand for the Second Amendment. The majority of the 7th Congressional District supports that. We're perfectly in sync," Athanasopoulos told Trujillo.
A 13 year U.S. Army veteran who served four tours of duty in Iraq, the candidate also believes Perlmutter is inexperienced on national security issues.
