The University of Colorado is one of more than 100 schools being investigated by the U.S. Department of Education for their handling of sexual assault complaints. The probe began more than two years ago.

Two days after Vice President Joe Biden spoke to students at CU as part of a White House initiative to prevent campus sexual assaults, Valerie Simons, director of Institutional Equity and Compliance and Title IX coordinator at CU-Boulder, joined Marshall Zelinger and Anne Trujillo on Politics Unplugged to discuss how she is helping the university expand its efforts to reduce sexual discrimination and harassment and more effectively respond to it when it occurs.

Politics Unplugged airs Sundays at 4 p.m. on Denver7.
