Police: Woman Held Up With Fire Extinguisher

Three People Took Electronics From Victim's Apartment, Police Say

Police in Colorado Springs are investigating a bizarre home invasion robbery where the robbers used a fire extinguisher as a weapon.

A mother told police she heard strange noises outside her apartment on E. Cache La Poudre Street Monday night.

When the woman walked into her living room, she saw someone forcing the front door open, police said.

The first person to break in threatened the woman with a fire extinguisher, police said.

The woman told officers while she was being threatened, three more people came into her apartment and took electronics from a back bedroom.

The woman said a fifth person stood outside and left with the other four.

The robbers were all men who were 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall with slender builds, except one man who was 6 feet 7 inches tall, police said.

No one was hurt.
