Police: Bar Employees Stabbed Outside Club

Police Arrest Three Suspects Who Sped Away In SUV Couple Of Blocks From Incident

Two employees of a bar were stabbed and hospitalized while three others were arrested during late-night St. Patrick's Day festivities.

The incident happened on the sidewalk in front of the Shaq Lounge at 15th and Champa St. just before 1 a.m., said Denver Police spokesman Sonny Jackson.

The two stabbing victims were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.

The suspects fled the scene in a SUV and were later caught up by officers at 13th and Kalamath St., Jackson said.

Three people were arrested and are being questioned by police, but it is likely that two of the suspects will be released after determining who was responsible for the stabbing, Jackson said.
