Colorado Springs police say they have arrested a man suspected of using a machete to rob a pizza store.
On Friday morning, Colorado Springs Police received a tip that the robbery suspect, 43-year-old Howard York, was at a mobile home in Manitou Springs, according to KRDO-TV
Police began surveillance of the El Paso Mobile Home Community at 15 El Paso Avenue in Manitou Springs, police said.
After a couple hours, York came out of the mobile home and officers arrested him on suspicion of aggravated robbery, KRDO-TV reported.
York's arrest came a day after police released security camera photos of the suspect during the pizza shop robbery.
York is suspected in an afternoon robbery on Jan. 30 at a Papa Murphy's at 3105 W. Colorado Ave. in Colorado Springs.
Employees told officers that a man entered the store, threatened an employee with a machete and demanded money from the cash register.
As the robber left the store with the cash, he aggressively began swinging the machete at a clerk, police said.
