Police: Infant's Injuries 'Severe'

The parents of an infant have been arrested and accused of child abuse after the baby was hospitalized with "severe injuries," Denver police said.

The infant’s injuries "were consistent with physical abuse," according to police.

Police received a call from The Children's Hospital in Aurora on Tuesday about the baby.

The parents, identified by police as Travis Anderson, 26, and Crystal Eccleston, 27, have been arrested and booked on suspicion of felony child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury,

The infant remained hospitalized in critical condition.
