Activists left Civic Center Park Tuesday afternoon and spent the night on the 16th Street Mall.

Protesters blocked the mall shuttle at times Tuesday, but were peaceful overnight.

Anthony Chavez told 7NEWS the "Sleep-In" was intended to reignite Occupy protests.

Some activists said they were protesting Denver’s proposed ban on unauthorized camping.

"The number of homeless people is not going to change with an urban camping ban," Chavez said.

7NEWS Reporter Tyler Lopez asked whether the shifting message was hurting the Occupy movement.

"Occupy is a blanket or an umbrella that a lot of issues fall under," said Chavez.

A consistent theme has been criticism of corporate greed, and the disparity between the rich and the poor.

When asked the plan for Wednesday, Chavez responded "This was kind of an impromptu thing." He added, "It’s not over."
