DENVER - Denver's serial groper may have struck again, this time attacking a 13-year-old girl

Denver Police are investigating to see if a serial groper’s crime spree is escalating.

The suspect’s description is similar to the man who witnesses said tried to kidnap a 13-year-old girl near the University of Denver on Sunday morning.

The attempted kidnapping happened just before noon near Wesley Avenue and Filmore Street.

A 10-year-old witness said the man walked up behind the teen, groped her, and then tried grabbing her.
"It really freaks me out,” said the boy, who 7NEWS is not identifying. “I don't know how to describe it."

The victim screamed and got away. The man ran to his car and sped away.

Another witness said the man’s car had its license plate intentionally covered.

The serial groper is suspected of fondling at least five women in the past two months.

In all of the cases, including the attempted kidnapping, the man has been described as being a six feet tall, Hispanic, with a bald head and heavy set build. The man is thought to be driving a dark-colored sedan of some kind, possibly a Nissan Maxima or Altima.

Denver Police confirm the suspect in Sunday’s attempted kidnapping appears to match the serial groper but will not be able to confirm it until the victim is interviewed on Monday.
