Music teacher, James David Tiner, wanted by the FBI on sexual assault charges

PALISADE, Colo. - The FBI has issued an alert for a music teacher wanted on sexual assault charges.

James David Tiner, 59, is being sought for crimes against a child in Colorado, according to the FBI.

Investigators said a mother called police on the western slope in April 2012 to report the sexual abuse of her 8-year-old daughter, which occurred between September 2009 - June 2010.

Agents said Tiner allegedly had at least four sexual encounters with the victim, who visited his home for music lessons in Palisade.

A search of Tiner's home allegedly revealed multiple videos and photographs displaying the victim in the nude, while performing sexual acts with Tiner, the FBI said.

Tiner is wanted on suspicion of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, sexual assault on a child, sexual assault on a child - pattern of abuse, sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust.

He may be driving a red Isuzu Rodeo with Colorado license plates 577YGP or an unknown Arkansas plates. He may also be in the company of his dog "Kili."

Tiner is known to be an avid outdoorsman and possibly staying in campgrounds or national parks.
