Judge issues orders on contested types of movie theater shooting evidence

CENTENNIAL, Colo. - The judge overseeing the Aurora movie theater shooting case issued several orders Friday regarding contested evidence.

Although the orders themselves were not yet posted to the online database of case documents, they were recorded on the Register of Actions -- a weekly diary of the progress of the case. According to the entries on the register, the orders pertain to the defendant's cell phone records, computers, iPod Touch, iPhone, email accounts and bank records.

All of the orders were dated Friday and were not marked as suppressed, which likely means they can be posted to the online database Monday.

Defendant James Holmes has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to charges in the 2012 shooting that killed 12 people and injured 70 others.
