DENVER - The judge in the Aurora movie theater shootings has postponed a hearing on an attempt to force a Fox News Channel reporter to reveal her sources.

The hearing was scheduled for Monday on a subpoena for reporter Jana Winter. In an order made public Wednesday, the judge granted a defense request to delay the hearing until April.

Defense lawyers say they haven't had time to prepare. Prosecutors objected to the delay.

James Holmes is charged with killing 12 people and injuring 70 in the July 20 shootings. He hasn't entered a plea.

Winter wrote a story citing unnamed law enforcement sources in describing the contents of a notebook Holmes sent to a psychiatrist.

Holmes' lawyers contend the leak violated a gag order.

Fox News says it can't comment on pending legal matters.
