Sketch of suspect in ski collision investigation

BEAVER CREEK, Colo. - Authorities in Eagle County are looking for anyone who might recognize the sketch of a snowboarder who collided with a 60-year-old on Beaver Creek Mountain in April.

The collision took place April 8 at around 2:45 p.m., underneath the Cinch Express Lift near the intersection of the Sheephorn and Centennial runs located just above the Spruce Saddle Lodge, according to the Eagle County Sheriff's Office.  The 60-year-old victim told deputies that the unknown snowboarder said he would call for help, but left the scene before the ski patrol arrived.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, and then transported to a Denver area hospital.

Eagle County deputies say the suspect is described as being in his mid-20's with long, light brown shoulder-length hair, has a stocky build and weighs an estimated 200 pounds or more. He was wearing all tan and dark green camouflage snowboarding gear at the time of the collision.
