A former Snowmass Village councilman accused of damaging a cell in the Pitkin County jail after being arrested for drunken driving has pleaded guilty.

The Aspen Times reports that 50-year-old Chris Jacobson pleaded guilty on Wednesday to criminal mischief and drunken driving — both misdemeanors. He has paid Pitkin County $13,000 for the damage he caused.
Jacobson was arrested June 26 on suspicion of drunken driving after an officer saw his vehicle weaving. At the jail, he peed on the floor, banged on the door and windows, verbally assaulted jail officers and eventually had to be restrained. He also tore off sections of a wall, exposing electrical wiring and damaged lights.
Jacobson was elected to a four-year term on the Snowmass Town Council in 2012. He was recalled in October.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan 11.
