Investigation Continues Into Worker's Death

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department is investigating the death of a worker at the MillerCoors brewing plant in Golden.According to MillerCoors, employees discovered the body of William Leahy around 9:30 p.m. Monday.MillerCoors released a statement Tuesday, saying, "Leahy was a packaging electrician at the brewery and employed by MillerCoors for 30 years. Leahy was well regarded by his coworkers and our condolences go out to the Leahy family and Bills friends during this difficult time. The cause of the death is being investigated and we are cooperating with local authorities. The company will be providing support and counseling to employees who may be personally impacted by this tragedy."It was not clear if Leahy's death was connected to his work as an electrician.The Occupational Health and Safety Administration investigates all workplace deaths.An autopsy will determine the official cause of death.
