Megan Jurgemeyer joined 7NEWS in September 2010 as a content producer.
She came to Denver from Grand Junction, where she worked as a morning and noon anchor, reporter and producer for two years.
Although Megan is not a native Coloradan, Denver has always felt like home. She graduated from Colorado State University in 1999 with a bachelors degree in English. While in Fort Collins, she worked at a white water rafting company, a job that let her fully embrace her love for the outdoors.
After graduation, Megan worked in construction wholesale. The job took her to Arizona for seven years. While she was there, she decided she wanted to pursue her passion for writing and news. Megan went back to school at Arizona State University and received her masters degree from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism in 2008.
Megan has been trying to work her way back to Denver for years and is excited to be part of the 7NEWS team. Her responsibilities include everything from producing morning newscasts to writing for thedenverchannel.com, working the assignment desk and reporting.
Researching stories, especially those that help resolve consumer and community problems, is Megans biggest passion. She would love to hear your story ideas.
