MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. - Not exactly the makings of a Happy Meal at a North Carolina McDonald's recently.
A woman said she found a swastika etched in butter on her chicken sandwich at a Morehead City McDonald's.
She said she was especially offended at the Nazi symbol because her grandfather fought in World War II.
"It's not something that should be taken lightly and it's not something that should be thrown around," Charleigh Matice said.
Matice said the store offered her a refund and she later learned it fired the employee behind the sandwich's etching. She believes managers should hold sensitivity training for all store employees.
