BLUEFIELD, W. Va. - This misprint is more than chicken feed.
A worker at a chicken processing plant hit the wrong key on the machine that prints the "sell by" date.
So, $9,000 worth of chicken got stamped with a 2001 date instead of 2014.
Now, all that chicken has been donated to the Bluefield Union Mission in West Virginia.
The mission's Craig Hammond tells the Bluefield Daily Telegraph the donation comes at a good time. He says the charity is running low on food, especially meat.
