The executive director of a Colorado youth ministry is accused of exposing himself repeatedly to a victim that police describe as "extremely vulnerable." Police are asking if there are also other victims.
Colorado Springs police say the victim was relying on Michael Justin Rueffert for assistance and "was in an extremely vulnerable state due to extenuating factors."
Rueffert was taken into custody and served a summons and complaint for the charge of unlawful sexual content, a misdemeanor. He was subsequently released.
Rueffert is the executive director of the Southern Colorado Youth for Christ Ministry, police say. Because of his position and the nature of the alleged crime, police are also asking the public if there are other possible victims.
Anyone with information about this case or any other involving Rueffert is asked to call the Colorado Springs Police Department at 719-444-7000 or Pikes Peak Area Crime Stoppers at 719-634-7867.
Because Rueffert was served and released, his photo was not taken for a mug shot. 7NEWS found his photo on the Southern Colorado Youth for Christ Ministry website.
