Yellow Cab driver arrested on suspicion of DUI after 4th of July celebrations

DENVER - Yellow Cab driver Michael Woldemariam is due in court Monday, accused of driving drunk after 4th of July celebrations in Denver.
Woldemariam was arrested at about 3 a.m. July 5 near Lincoln Street and East 5th Avenue, Sgt. Steve Warneke with the Denver Police Department confirmed.
There was at least one passenger onboard at the time of the arrest, Warneke said.
Woldemariam was cited for having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle, speeding 20-24 miles over the limit, careless driving, and driving under the influence.
Woldemariam is due in the Denver County Court at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
