Xcel Energy says hundreds without power, multiple reports of downed wires and trees

DENVER - Hundreds of people woke up without power this morning.

As of 10:30 a.m., there were still 21 outages affecting 739 people in Boulder, Denver, Arvada, Westminster, Thornton and Aurora.

Overnight, more than 3,400 people lost power.

"We've received numerous reports of downed trees & wires and are assessing the damage," Xcel Energy told 7NEWS via Twitter at 4:30 a.m. "Currently over 3,400 customers out."

The largest outage overnight was in Boulder, where 1,633 lost power at 1:14 a.m. Xcel Energy fixed that outage around 5 a.m.
