Woman's husband's ashes stolen from her Longmont home

LONGMONT, Colo. -- Longmont resident Mary Nazzaro is hoping the person who stole her husband’s ashes return them. 

Nazzaro kept the ashes in her husband’s favorite cigar box since his passing, but says the person that broke into her home stole her computer, wedding bands and the cigar box.

“They've robbed us of our closure,” said Mary Nazzaro.

Nazzaro and her family were planning a trip to Florida this year to spread the ashes of her husband into the ocean.

“Before he passed away he wanted to go to the ocean,” said Nazzaro.
