DENVER - When Derek Matthews returned home from a business trip on Wednesday, he got a big surprise at Denver International Airport.

Derek's wife of 14 years, Lacy, was waiting in her original wedding gown with a sign that said, "Derek, I'd do it all over again. I love you."

Wednesday was the Matthews 14th anniversary.

"Someone asked why I'd do this, especially for year 14," Lacy Matthews said. "I have a chronic illness, and Iife is short and tomorrow is never a guarantee."

Lacy said there wasn't a huge crowd at the airport at 8:15 in the morning, but she said men, women, young and old said great things to her.

"It truly blessed me as much as it did my husband," Lacy said.

Lacy said one person said, "You made my day. Love is still alive."

The photo of Derek's reaction said it all. He had a huge smile on his face when he spotted his wife from the escalator.
