DENVER - The Denver coroner has identified a woman who was hit and killed by a bus at Denver International Airport.
Katherine McKinley, 57, was killed in the incident on Saturday.
According to police, McKinley was hit by a Budget rental car shuttle as she was walking to the terminal.
Authorities are reviewing the incident to determine if charges will be filed against the driver and if airport construction played a role.
DIA is currently undergoing a major construction project to build a new hotel. As a result, traffic routes around the terminal have changed. Cars and buses now travel in both directions around the airport, when in the past they would head just one-way.
According to the coroner's office, McKinley was taken to a hospital after she was hit, but didn't survive.
