DENVER - A woman jaywalking on East Colfax Avenue was hit by a car overnight.
The woman was hit between Franklin and Humboldt Streets, sometime before 1 a.m. Thursday. She was not in a crosswalk, according to police.
When the 7NEWS crew arrived at 1:15 a.m. the eastbound lanes of Colfax were shut down.

Denver Police Department officers at the scene told 7NEWS the woman has serious injuries but is expected to survive.
The driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol, police said.
Witnesses said the car appeared to be going the speed limit.
The driver was not taken into custody.
