Woman found dead outside Woodland Park home is identified

WOODLAND PARK, Colo. - Woodland Park Police have identified the woman who was found  dead in the driveway of a home Saturday morning.

Joey Michelle Carlson, 34, was found at about 10:30 a.m. Carlson was found in the driveway of a home in the Forest Edge neighborhood. She lived in the same neighborhood.

Police said they are still in the preliminary stages of the investigation and are awaiting autopsy results on how the woman died. There appeared to be no sign of foul play or visible trauma to her body. 

The low temperature in Woodland Park overnight was 4 degrees below zero.

According to a press release from Woodland Park police all unexplained deaths are treated as suspicious until the cause has been determined.
