Woman found dead in Cherry Creek Sunday identified by medical examiner, no cause of death yet

DENVER - Authorities know the name of the woman found dead in Cherry Creek Sunday afternoon, but they still don't know how she died.

The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner has identified the victim as 28-year-old Deisi Fernandez-Castaneda of Aurora.

Officials said her autopsy has been completed, but the cause and manner of death is pending further studies.

Fernandez-Castaneda body was found by a man walking Cherry Creek South Drive between Quebec and Monaco.

Police said there was no obvious evidence of foul play but they are conducting a thorough investigation.
