DENVER – A woman died in a house fire in southeast Denver early Wednesday morning, officials said.
Firefighters were dispatched to the home, in the 3600 block of East Mississippi Avenue, near Colorado Boulevard, about 5:15 a.m. Crews removed the woman from the home, and she died, Denver Fire officials said. A cat inside the home also died in the fire.
The cause of the fire was still under investigation later Wednesday. More information was not available.
