Woman dies in fall at Rocky Mountain National Park

ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, Colo. - A 50-year-old Littleton woman died after falling 40 to 50 feet from the north side of Deer Mountain in Rocky Mountain National Park.

The woman, Toni Henthorn, was hiking with a family member when she fell in steep, rocky terrain just before 6 p.m. Saturday.

Rangers reached her body at 8:10 p.m. and stayed with her body on the mountain.

Her body was flown from the area on Sunday.

No other details have been released.
