AURORA, Colo. - Police have arrested a 30-year-old woman suspected in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Aurora.
Lt. Jeff Turner says a man was crossing the southbound lanes of Interstate 225 when he was struck at about 8:35 p.m. Sunday. The victim, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Police say a witness followed the SUV and gave investigators a description of the vehicle and a license plate number. Officers found the vehicle a short time later and arrested Tashima Littleton, of Denver, on suspicion of drunken driving.
Turner says investigators believe Littleton was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
Police do not know why the victim was walking on the highway.
