I-70 reopens between Limon and Burlington after storm caused closure Sunday night

I-70 reopens in mountain corridor

DENVER - Interstate 70 was closed Sunday night in both directions between Limon and Burlington due to adverse conditions.

It was closed just after 8 p.m. There was no estimate on reopening.

Winter driving conditions caused problems along the I-70 corridor through the Colorado mountains Sunday afternoon.

Both directions of I-70 were closed for hours until conditions improved by early Sunday evening.

U.S. Highway 6 over Loveland Pass remains closed.

Meteorologist Mike Nelson says the snow should taper off before daybreak on Monday but roads will be slick.
