WELD COUNTY, Colo. -- Smoke from a controlled burn in Weld County is being seen for miles.

Platteville Fire officials told Denver7 that the grass fire is a controlled burn involving several large fields near Highway 85 and County Road 23.

Platteville is about 40 miles northeast of Denver and about 18 miles southwest of Greeley.
