CENTENNIAL, Colo. -- A woman who shot herself in the hand while testing out a new gun for purchase is recovering in a local hospital.
Police rushed to the Centennial Gun Club Tuesday after police say a woman accidentally shot herself in the hand whilst testing a gun she considered purchasing.
The test didn't go as planned. Authorities say a casing from a bullet flew into her shirt, leading the woman to be startled.
The woman reportedly reached down her shirt, turning the gun in her other hand, firing off a shot that hit herself in the other hand.
Employees at the scene helped dress the woman's wound, which authorities say paramedics were impressed by.
The Centennial Gun Club has yet to comment on the incident.
