Wet roads in the Denver metro area, snowy conditions in the mountains

DENVER - Up to an inch of rain fell along the Interstate 25 corridor in the metro area overnight and is causing delays in the Monday morning commute.

In the mountains, eastbound Interstate 70 was closed from Silverthorne to the Eisenhower Tunnel at 7 a.m. due to a semi crash. Another semi truck spun out in snowy conditions at Vail Pass just before 6 a.m.

Major closures remain in place due to damage from the Colorado floods, including highways 36, 34 and 119 west of Boulder.

Some of the major highways that have reopened include Highway 119 west of I-25, Highway 66 east of I-25 and Highway 287 in downtown Loveland.
